UAC of Nigeria Plc. has been in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR)
business for over 30 years. The QSR business evolved from the coffee
shops of the Kingsway Department stores which were run by UAC in
the early 1960s.
Kingsway Rendezvous was introduced as a replacement to those coffee
shops in 1973. The brand was later transformed into the popular
Mr. Bigg's brand.
Mr. Bigg's Quick Service Restaurant concept emerged
in August 1986 as a result of intensive consumer research aimed
at identifying what the Nigerian consumer would like to experience
on a visit to an ideal QSR.
Over the years, the concept has been taken to
major cities in Nigeria. It is planned that more restaurants will
be opened.
Mr. Bigg's does not just provide consistently
high quality products expected by our numerous customers, it also
offers a unique eating experience, embodying the highest standards
of hygiene, menu variety, attractive decor and excellent customer
service.
Mr. Bigg's has leveraged on its heritage and positive
associations to build a strong equity base in its relationship
with children, families, communities and external publics
